G/S IMPACT Update
G/S IMPACT Update
In an effort to continue giving back to our society and the communities in which we work, G/S IMPACT has been donating funds, volunteering time, and participating in small and large-scale community efforts. As we head into the spring and summer months, we’re strategizing on what comes next. In the meantime, take a look at where we’ve been engaged over the winter months.
March – Memorial Sloan Kettering Cycle For Survival
We had four bikes and 17 riders, including friends from Bayard, Cole Schotz, Epiq Systems, and Polsinelli, and raised more than $24,000.
February – Cycle for Survival
We hosted a Happy Hour Fundraiser in our office to raise money for Cycle For Survival. David Linn, Cycle for Survival co-founder, was on hand to share some memories about his late wife Jen’s battle with a rare cancer and their reasons for starting Cycle, as well as some inspiring stories of survival, and a few laughs.
January – ABI Endowment Fund
Ted Gavin, ABI Vice President – Development hosted a successful ABI Endowment Fund event in our luxury suite at Wells Fargo. Endowment Fund donors enjoyed a hockey match-up of rivals Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins. See Our Gallery for more photos form the event.
December – PathWays PA Center For Families
We collected winter coats, hats and mittens for women and children who reside at the center; as well as baby items for a mom-to-be. Through the generosity of our team members and some members of the community, we were able to deliver everything from diapers to a stroller.
November – Bankrupt Talent
Jeremy VanEtten, Ted Gavin and Joe Richman (pictured) joined Randa Karambelas and fellow bankruptcy professionals for a musical performance at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. Musicians from around the country came together to perform and raise money in support of the Sisters of Charity of New York and the work they do. Ted played bass and guitar; Joe played saxophone; and both Joe and Jeremy were featured vocalists.
Don’t miss the next Bankrupt Talent. On May 13, musical host Randa Karambelas will once again bring together musicians from the insolvency community to host this musical benefit. Proceeds from this year’s concert will support the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, the Chordoma Foundation, and ABI’s Anthony H.N. Schnelling Endowment Fund.
