Gavin/Solmonese is proud to share that our G/S IMPACT Manager, Amy Gavin, has been appointed President of the Board of Directors for Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS)—a cornerstone nonprofit providing comprehensive health and human services to the island community since 1961.
Amy has served on the MVCS Board for the past two years, contributing her expertise in governance, strategy, and financial stewardship during a time of significant organizational growth. In her new role as President, she will help guide the next chapter of the organization’s evolution—strengthening its mission to meet the island’s most pressing needs and ensuring access to care for all who call Martha’s Vineyard home.
MVCS provides essential programs and services in behavioral and mental health, substance use treatment, early childhood education, youth and family support, disability and elder care, Veterans services, and assistance for individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. The work of MVCS is to strengthen the fabric of the Vineyard through equitable access to care, compassion, and community connection—reflects Amy’s own values of empathy, leadership, and service.

In addition to brand oversight and marketing, Amy also leads the firm’s philanthropic platform, G/S IMPACT. This unique program utilizes the organization’s human, material, and monetary resources to support numerous nonprofit organizations in the U.S.
